Dan Gunn is another character crucial to the plot. before the war, he was a doctor that was delusional after his wife divorced. after the war, he finds his way by offering his services to a community in need, treating those with ailments such as typhoid fever and radiation poisoning. he also moves in with Randy, who is his best friend.
